I literally teared up when I read Bill Simmons' column today.
Say what you want about Simmons, but he is a true fan. In a time when journalists are largely out of touch with the general population and their respective sports, Bill is always refreshing and hilarious. And he is one of the few writers who actually cares about the NBA. Fuck the "purity" of the game, NBA players are light years better than their college counterparts. David Stern is legit and knows how to run a league. Props to Simmons and Marc Stein for holding it down on that front.
